Friendliness, availability, professionalism!During our holiday we asked Imagine Surf to organize an afternoon of school for our 10 boys, aged 8 to 22. We booked 2 lessons with the Imagine Surf team and they were amazing. Friendly and helpful for all levels. My son, husband and I surfed together even tho the boys are much better but we all had a great time and learnt a lot. The following day my son & husband saw dolphins as they surfed. This is an affordable, quality experience for all surf levels. We surf in the UK and enjoyed this lesson.

Edu and Bruno are top notch surf instructors who will help you improve quickly. I took my first 3 lessons with them and rode 20 waves on my 3rd lesson. They're both fun, engaging, responsive, professional, on time, and very supportive. We had Pego Beach to ourselves when I went and the waves were perfectly sized for a beginner. Great experience!

Great classes with super fun teachers! Really helpful and skilful at making the surfing experience awesome! Great spot for off peak surf (from Mid September onwards) where this gorgeous huge beach (52km long of sand) is empty and you get all the waves for yourself!

Our surf school is based at Pego Beach, and the majority of our lessons take place there. You can find us easily on the map: IMAGINE SURF SCHOOL.

Throughout the summer, all lessons are held at Pego Beach.

Depending on swell forecasts, we sometimes offer lessons at the following beaches:

How our surf lessons work?
Our lessons are 2 hours long, broken down as follows:
- First 30 minutes: Getting ready – putting on wetsuits, warming up, and practicing on the sand.
- Next 90 minutes: Time spent in the water, where you’ll be catching waves and improving your skills.
You’re free to take breaks whenever you need. The focus is on having fun and learning at your own pace!

What do I need to bring for the Surf lesson?
To make the most of your time in the sun and water, don’t forget the essentials:
- Sunscreen
- Water
- Towel
- Bathing suit
- A smile
But there’s one more important thing to bring when you start your surf lesson: a willingness to learn.
How early should I arrive to my surf lesson?
- We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to your surf lesson. This gives us ample time to fit you for your wetsuit and assess your skill level.
- During the summer, parking near the beach can be a bit tricky due to the crowds. Arriving early will ensure you have enough time to get your gear, choose your surfboard, and start your lesson without cutting into your surf time. We want to make sure you get the most time possible in the water!
What skill levels do you teach your surf lessons to?
Surf Lessons for All Levels:
Whether you’re a complete beginner who can barely swim or a seasoned surfer looking to get back in the water, we’ve got you covered.
I’ve personally taught students as young as 4 and adults in their 80s. We offer:
- Beginner Surf Lessons for first-time surfers
- Intermediate Lessons for surfers with some experience
- Advanced Lessons for those looking to improve their techniques and take their surfing to the next level
No matter your age or skill level, we’re here to help you improve and enjoy your time in the water!
Do I have to be a strong swimmer?
- It’s recommended that you know how to swim and feel comfortable in the ocean. However, we always tailor our lessons to your needs. If you’re really afraid of the sea but still want to try, we recommend booking a private lesson.
- For children who can’t swim, it’s not a problem. They are always accompanied by an instructor, and the lesson takes place in shallow water.
And if its bad weather?
If the lesson is cancelled due to safety or weather conditions, you will be fully refunded or can reschedule at no extra cost.

How does payment work?
Payment is required at the time of online booking. If you prefer to pay in person, you can do so by cash, card, or bank transfer.
Cancellation Policy
- “We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, especially during vacations. Should an unexpected event occur, and you choose to cancel your surf lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund.
- “Please be advised that missed or no-show lessons, as well as lessons that are commenced but not completed, are non-refundable.”
- Any rescheduled lessons must be paid for in advance.”
