On 6 June 2026 (Saturday), Imagine Surf School will join the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Grândola branch of Pais em Rede by holding a charity surf lesson at Praia do Pego, in Comporta.

The initiative aims to support the work carried out by Pais em Rede in promoting inclusion, empowerment, and support for families of people with disabilities. The full amount raised from registrations will be donated to the association.

More than just a surf lesson, this initiative seeks to celebrate the spirit of community, mutual support, and human connection through the ocean and sport. The activity will be open to participants of different ages and levels of experience, and includes all necessary equipment, guidance from certified instructors, and insurance.

We deeply believe in the transformative power of the sea and in the importance of using our activity to generate a positive impact in the community. This charity lesson is a way for us to support a cause that deserves everyone’s attention,” says Eduardo Ildefonso, founder of Imagine Surf School.

Participation is subject to prior registration, with limited places available.

About the Pais em Rede association

Pais em Rede is an association that, since 2008, has worked to empower families of people with disabilities and promote social, educational, and community inclusion.

Its mission is to bring together, in a nationwide movement, families of people with all types of disabilities, mobilising society as a whole around the common cause of their inclusion, in line with the defence of human rights advocated by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

In 2014, it was granted the status of Non-Governmental Organisation for People with Disabilities (ONGPD) at national level by the Ministry of Solidarity and Social Security, giving it the status of Social Partner in the field of disability.

About Imagine Surf School

Imagine Surf School was born at Praia do Pego, on the Comporta coast, from a simple idea: to share surfing as an experience, both in and out of the water. More than a school, Imagine is a meeting place between people, nature, and ocean culture. A place where people learn to surf while respecting the rhythm of the sea, the environment around us, and the sense of community that defines this sport.

Surrounded by the unique landscape of the Alentejo Coast, we believe that surfing can be a form of connection: with nature, with others, and with ourselves.

Our team is made up of qualified coaches certified by Turismo de Portugal and the Portuguese Surfing Federation. Student safety is always our priority.
